Personal Sound Exploration and Sound Journaling

Practical tips for everyday sound exploration.

This simple 5 step guide is from the Biofield Being podcast!

S2 E1 Tune Into Sound Wellbeing

Step 1: Set the Intention

Start by setting a simple intention for your sound exploration. It could be as straightforward as seeking relaxation, fostering creativity, or connecting with your inner self. Hold your tuning fork, take a few deep breaths, and let your intention guide you.

Step 2: Tune into Your Environment

Close your eyes and listen to the sounds around you. Notice the subtle hums, the distant chatter, or the rustling of leaves. Allow these everyday sounds to become a part of your sound exploration. Our world is full of metaphysical tones; all we need to do is listen.

Step 3: Activate the Tuning Fork

Now, gently tap your tuning fork and bring it close to your ears. Listen to the resonance. Feel the vibrations. Notice how the sound interacts with your immediate environment. Let it become a focal point, a moment of mindfulness in your day.

Step 4: Explore Personal Symbols

As the tuning fork resonates, let your mind wander. Visualise images, colours, or symbols that arise in response to the sound. These may be personal symbols or archetypal imagery. Don’t overthink it; simply let your intuition guide you.

Step 5: Journal Your Experience

This is where your journal comes into play. Take a few minutes to jot down your experience. Describe the sounds you heard, the images that surfaced, and the emotions you felt. Your journal is a canvas for your personal sound exploration, capturing the nuances of this unique journey.
